Jobs may be out of reach, and relapse can be a real fear. The cycle can feel overwhelming, especially when local support is hard to find. How do you know where to start, or who to count on, after everything has changed?

Founded by Michael Charles Barrett, a U.S. Army and National Guard Veteran (1983–1989), the Barrett Foundation Inc is a mission-driven organization. After a successful career in executive business management and the seafood industry, Michael is now dedicating his leadership to building ‘Piece House’—a safe, sober, and structured transitional living environment in the South Coast. Our mission is to ensure that no Veteran or individual in transition is left without a bridge to a successful future.

Yes, we help you look for work while you stay with us. We can connect you with local job resources, offer tips for writing resumes, and help you prepare for interviews so you have support every step of the way.
We ask everyone to treat each other with respect, stay sober, and follow a daily routine. There are regular house meetings and chores to help keep the home running smoothly. We want to create a safe and supportive place for everyone living here.
There is a weekly fee to stay at our halfway house, which covers your room and basic living costs. We keep our rates affordable and can work with you if you need help making payments.
